Nowadays, aspiring your people are feeling the charm of rural life in villages away from touristic spots around Indonesia, sensing the potential to start anew, and leading in some cases to the rescue of traditional hospitality which starts to fade away in big metropolitan cities of Indonesia.
In Malang city or East Java region, our team found a small village of Karangjambe where those values were shaping the community and the area. Eventually, some family open their house to welcome foreign visitors who wants to experience a short stay (or long term) rural daily life.
The short stay experience will let visitor to follow the locals daily activities from morning to their field, preparing meals in the house, and try bathing in local natural spring. A warm conversation will take place in the afternoon when mostly people gather in the house to welcome the Maghrib (the changing time and prayer time between day and night). Another day activity will let guests to experience cycling to next villages and dip in ancient spring with a sacred big tree lies on the spring bottom; or visit local school and do fun sharing with elementary students.
While the long term program stay, will let visitor stay longer up to 7 or 15 days. During long term program, visitors will able to combine other nature adventure such as mountain climb or beach visit or river-tubing or in some season can try caving as well. During the long stay, local team will provide visitors with free shuttle to Malang city center for some groceries or shopping (or maybe if visitors missing a bit of city-feeling).
