Itineraries

Day 1

Arrive in Jakarta/ Bali

Our guide will pick you at the airport and then transfer to a hotel. We will have a briefing and gear check. Dinner is included.

Day 2

Jakarta or Bali - Nabire

We fly to Nabire. Will be there the next day.

Day 3

Arrive in Nabire

Arrive in Nabire and then stay in a hotel.

Day 4

Nabire - Sugapa - Suanggama (2.050 m)

We fly to Sugapa (chartered flight). Then continue to Suanggama by motorcycle. Overnight in Suanggama.

Day 5

Suanggama - Dibasiga (2.360m)

We start in the morning and walk to Dibasiga around 7 hours. We will cross several rivers on this part.

Day 6

Dibasiga - Estasiga (3.200m)

The journey from Dibasiga to Ebasiga will take around 9 hours. We begin to enter the rainforest section and oftenly ought to walk through muddy banks and tree roots.

Day 7

Estasiga - Ebai (3.590m)

From Estasiga we will go to Ebay, about 8 hours walk. The rainforest and muddy banks will still be our company.

Day 8

Ebai - Nasidome (3.830m)

From Ebay to Nasidome will takes around 4,5 hours. The trees will seldomly be seen. Meadow and muddy banks dominate the landscape.

Day 9

Nasidome - Basecamp (4.260m)

The journey to Basecamp will be full with beautiful sceneries. First, we walk into the crevice between the rocks to reach Lake Larson. Then we continue to New Zealand Pass. To pass through the New Zealand Pass we ought to climb a fairly steep path. The walk to this area will be the toughest part of the day. Once passed, we will reach the Lakes Valley (Lembah Danau-danau). This part will takes around 7-8 hours.

Day 10

Acclimatization day

From Ebay to Nasidome will takes around 4,5 hours. The trees will seldomly be seen. Meadow and muddy banks dominate the landscape.

Day 11

Basecamp - Puncak Carstensz Pyramid (4.884 m) - Basecamp

We will start at 03.00 am. Pass through the Middle Ridge and reach the Yellow Valley in 2 hours or less. At the beginning of the fix rope section we will start climbing. There are several parts which quite flat, where we can take our breaks. Approximately at 09.00 am we will reach the Summit Ridge. Then we will cross a gap by using Tyrollean Traverse Technique. We continue by following the ridge and in an hour we will reach the summit. Then we head back to the Basecamp.

Day 12

Extra Day

Day 13

Basecamp – Nasidome (5-6 hours) Day 14 Nasidome – Endasugapa (9 hours)

From Nasidome we will walk for 9 hours. Passing the Ebay camp and build our tents in Endasugapa.

Day 15

Endasugapa – Dibasiga (7 hours) Day 16 Dibasiga - Suanggama - Sugapa

From Dibasiga, we will walk straight to Suanggama. Then continue with motorcycle to Sugapa. We stay in a hostel in Sugapa.

Day 17

Sugapa - Nabire

We will transfer from the hostel to airport with motorcycles. Then fly to Nabire. Stay in a hotel in Nabire.

Day 18

Transfer ke Airport

We will fly to Jakarta or Bali from Nabire, arrive the next day.

Day 19

Arrive in Jakarta/ Bali

End of Program. Thank you
