This trip will be a good way to start your North Sumatra experience. Various in-flight destination are numerous to reach Medan, and our team will start directly from the airport. During the trip, you will likely experience nature activity such as walking in jungle to reach the elephant sanctuary and bathe them, visit orangutan conservation; and adventurous trek to Sibayak mountain and visit to largest atural lake occupying the caldera of a supervolcano named Toba Lake.

Itineraries

Day 1

Medan - Bukit Lawang

Arrival in Medan airport and our team will be waiting in arrival hall. You will be first directed to lunch place and buy some personal snacks before head to Leuser national park (Bukit Lawang) for 4-5 hours drive. Check in homestay and rest

Day 2

Bukit Lawang Trekking

Rise morning and breakfast. Pack and check out from homestay. Today you will be trek thru jungle to reach campsite in Bukit Lawang area. Trekking will take for 4 hours on first stage, then lunch break , and another 3 hours until afternoon. Set up camp and enjoy the nature. Tea time on riverbank or swim in crytal clear river nearby campsite. Dinner at campsite and rest

Day 3

Bukit Lawang - Tangkahan

Breakfast at the camp and prepare to do tubing along the river down to town area. Lunch break and take 4X4WD jeep ride to reach Tangkahan. Check in homestay and dinner. Rest

Day 4

Elephant Bathing - Waterfal Trekking

Breakfast at the homestay, have fun with the elephants, tubing to waterfall (swimming, lunch and relaxing). Trekking to mini hot spring (a hot spring hole by the river fit to 3 persons max), relax at the small waterfall ( shoulder massage waterfall ). Get back to homestay and enjoy prepared dinner

Day 5

Tangkahan - Medan - Berastagi Temple

Breakfast at the homestay and prepare to check out, leaving Leuser National Park and going back to Medan. Lunch break and heading to Berastagi. Visit Burmese style Temple ( Vihara Taman Lumbini ). Check in homestay in Berastagi area and enjoy local hotspring or free program by afternoon. Rest before the next early morning trek to Sibayak volcano

Day 6

Berastagi - Sibayak Volcano Trekking - Toba Lake

Rise early morning and stand by 03.30AM. Our team will pick you from homestay around 04.00 - 04.30 AM to reach the hiking starting point, 30-45 mins trek to reach the summit and waiting for sunrise whilst enjoying hot tea and light snacks. Going back to the town to visit the fruit market. Check out homestay, have lunch break in local food vendor, and heading to Samosir Island, make a stop at TELE Tower for great view of Lake Toba. Check in homestay and dinner. Total rest

Day 7

Explore Toba Area

Breakfast at homestay, chill at Sianjur mula-mula before start to hike Pusuk Buhit Hill (2 hours up) to enjoy the magnificent view from the top. It’s a sacred place for Batak people, properly dressed will be preferable. Lunch at the hill top and trekking down back. Heading to Tuk-Tuk, check in to the last homestay during the nature tour. Rest and dinner

Day 8

Tomok Village - Siantar - Medan

Breakfast at homestay, visiting Tomok Village for souvenir hunting, take the ferry across Lake Toba to be back to mainland, Lunch at Siantar City and visit Big Avalokitesvara Statue. Back to Medan and check in air-con hotel. Free program to do night culinary in Medan. Total rest

Day 9

Transfer to Airport

Breakfast and prepare to check out. Drop guests in airport based on your departure time
